Six Events in my life

Thanksgiving Dinner Oct.24,2012

My family and I hosted thanksgiving dinner at my house , dinner featured the turkey , mashed potatoes , sweet potatoes , ham , green bean casserole , stuffing and multiple desserts! It was very fun minus the clean up afterward. We watched the cowboys game while eating dinner then afterwards rented movies.

Skyline Playoffs Dec 8. , 2012

I cheered at the skyline football playoffs , unfortunately we lost to allen , but it was a great season and a gream game . Cheering at the playoffs was so much fun because of the excitement.

LOL movie night.

I recently saw the movie "LOL" featuring miley cyrus Nov.29 at movie night and event my family hosts for our family and friends. It was a great indie film and I really enjoyed the storyline and how I could relate to the movie lead.

Stunt Class Nov.23,2012

My squad and I recently attented a new stunt class learning some more advancd stunts , It was quite the challenge but we pushed through it and accomplished our goals . 

Babysitter Business Decmeber 7, 2012

In my fashion marketing class we have to create a business providing a service , I thought to make a service for parents in need of babysitters. We connect the babysitters to the parents and the babysitters have to have certain skills to qualify.

Youth Group Adventures Decmeber 10 , 2012.

Recently the youth group at my church reached out in our community to provide gifts for kids for christmas , we each brought a gift for the children for the charity for the church's choice.

Six Events In My Life

     
Halloween

For Halloween I just passed out candy to little kids in costumes and did my friends nails with halloween themes. It was very fun and to hang with my friends , do our nails and eat plenty of candy! October 31 , 2012.

Tumbling

My stunt group and I went to tumbling October 10 , 2012. It was very fun and I progressed in my tumbling . My new skills inculude a stable handspring , a perfect roundoff and I can even do a backhandspring with a spotter.

Opening the Raider Spot

The fashion Cluster opened the Raider Spot , October 2nd . The raider spot features handmade clothing from the design side of the fashion cluster and spirit apparel.

Novemeber 9 , 2012 , The fashion cluster and some of the deca kids went to competiton , it was a new experince for me and was very fun although Team Skyline won nothing . It was basically a competiton on how you would present a business plan and how you would do in a job interview.

Fright Fest

I atttended Fright Fest at Six Flags , October 23 , 2012. It was very fun seeing everybody dressed up and seeing all the employees in there costumes it , also the haunted houses were actually pretty scary! It was quite the experince !

 

Youth Group

This six weeks I had the oppurtinity to be a teacher for a youth group at my church , it was very fun getting to teach young kids about the bible and I felt very empowered . It was great getting the young kids ( age 8-12) to understand more about their relegion.

Six Weeks Essay

This six weeks for me was somewhat hectic . It was the second six weeks of school and I am finally adjusting to school life again ! But it is very crazy for me balacing all AP classes , cheer and my cluster. This six weeks it was our homecoming so that ment extra prep work for cheer . Which ment organizing stunt groups and perfecting cheers. I have a great stunt group we perfected our elevator-extension stunt and even did a full down ! The Pep Rally for homecoming at school was great and I think we did a really great job. Then there was the game which we did really good at as well even though it was freezing. There was always very much going on in my cluster , there was much preperation for the fashion show and still is ! We also opened the raider spot an operating "boutique". We sell anything fashion related as well as raider spirit apparel. Then my classes .. I passed all my classes but algebra 2 . I was very dissapointed but I know I will pass next six weeks . I have set goals for myself next six week weeks , such as passing all my classes , doing my backhandspring independently and being a better employee for the raider spot!

Sixty year old Big Tex the cowboy of the state fair burned down Oct.19 due to an electrical fire .The fire was caused by an electircal short in his boot traveling up his body causing  a fire . All of his remains were taken away in a body bag. The state of texas is greiving from the devistating loss of Big Tex.

Chris brown had broken up with model girlfriend Karreuche Tran. He claims he needs to focus on his career and his friendship with Rhianna has caused distance between the two so it was better off to end it . On Oct.1 Rhianna and Chris brown were alledgedly seen kissing and hugging at a nightclub. There are speculations of a budding relationship between the two.

The Dallas Cowboys continue to hold   confidence in the quarterback Tony Romo, even though  he leads the NFL with 13 interceptions and the record at 3-4.

What I did this 6 weeks ?

The first six weeks was quite hectic for me, Of course I promised myself I would get perfect grades and still have fun. The having fun part was very easy for me to do, the grades portion was challenging in some aspects.

The first week back to school I caught up with all my friends and immediately made plans to go to the varsity games and see all the new movies. I quickly learned my new schedule and spent most of the first week in all my classes making supply lists. I really did not think that sophomore year was going to be much different than freshman year. I was a bit surprised at the immense work load. All of my classes are pre-ap, as they were last year.  Although, this year my teachers were more demanding. I found myself intimidated my by world history class and algebra two class.

These two classes demand a lot of studying and all-nighters unfortunately. I soon realized that I would actually have to start studying and applying myself more to get a decent grade, whereas last year all my classes where easygoing.

Even though my new schedule was a tad frightening. I soon learned to appreciate my teacher’s work ethics; I found their teaching methods similar to the way college professors operate. A big fear of mine is that I would not be properly prepared for college attending skyline but I feel reassured now.

These six weeks was definitely a learning experience for me, it has taught me to not procrastinate and accept my new responsibilities.

In states such a Carolina , The polls are almost dead even in a tie agaisnt each other. Many drivers in the Dallas area ignore the school bus  " Stop " Sign , for when childeren are loading and exiting the bus , which poses are harm to the childeren , when the drivers do not stop . Police are starting to give out $300 tickets for when drivers do not stop for the bus. Cameras have been installed into the school bus signs that detect motion and will snap a photo of the driver's liecense plate if they drive past the bus.

The two were caught making out in her car and visiting each other secretly . Rupert Sanders is now being divorced by his wife and Kristen and Robert have split up , She issued an apology but Robert has made no comment.

Jaosn Witten had a  Lacertaed Spleen , and he is continuing to recover from it . Although he is not able to play at his full potential . It is quite a struggle for him because of his age as well and all of the vigiourous work required .

Skyline Bible Study Club : September 12 , 2012 . The lesson was about our relationship with God and how society affects it.

Skylien Frisco Game : Septemeber 1 , 2012 . We (The JV cheer squad) performed along Varsity at the first game of the season.

The Possesion Movie : August 31 , 2012 . I saw The possesion movie , it was about a girl who is possesed , skip it !

First day of School : August 28 , 2012. Officially a Sophmore and ready for school , 2015!

Six flags Day of fun : September 26 , 2012 . I went to six flags , I have a season pass & attempted to ride every ride!

North Dallas Panther football game : September 29 , 2012 . I went to my brothers football game , it was raining but at least we won!

Mercedes Johnson lived a full happy life; she was a loving mother, wife and sister. Mercedes was so full of life and energy. She could always bring a smile to your face and had a wonderful sense of humor. Mercedes was born in Dallas, Texas and passed away in Los Angeles, California. She had two beautiful children with her husband. She always lived her life to the fullest and had no regrets.

As the hart Panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

Summary of My Summer Vacation

The summer of 2012 was wonderful for me. I had wonderful experiences that I will never forget. The beginning of the summer was very uneventful it was just very normal for me, It was the middle and last of the summer that was the best.

In the beginning, I went about my summer how I usually do which majority of my summer consist of tanning and swimming. I would go to surf and swim about once a week, three at the most. Surf and Swim is a public wave pool. It’s amazing and has the best slushees! I got sunburned about four times which really hurt!

In the middle of the summer, I attended two concerts. The wanted and Cobra Starship. The wanted is the best British band. It is like the grown up version of one direction. Seeing Tom Parker in person was definitely something I will never forget especially when he touched my hand! The wanted has a popular hit “Glad you came”. It was my summer anthem. Cobra starship was great too with hits “Good girls go badly “and “La, La, La.”

The end of my summer was hectic. Cheer camp at UTA! It was absolutely amazing and a great experience for my team. I wish I could go to cheer camp every day. Waking up at seven and attending cheer, dance and stunting class until ten at night was pure heaven.
